RE: How do you stay motivated?

in #tribeslast month

I understand exactly what you mean! I have to say that I was in your shoes (and maybe I'm still in) as I was looking for recognition for my work by others... But it looks like I was looking at the wrong place... I wanted to be spotted by some big "community leaders", to get some "rank" or such for the work that I did, but it never came...

On the other side, where I didn't look, the recognition was there... From the newbies that I help on their journey, from friends that I meet and work together, and from regular readers of my blog...

I suppose that my problem (and maybe yours too) was that I was looking too much up, instead of looking down... Searching for recognition of "big boys" who don't care about me or my work... That was probably one of the biggest motivations to start Liotes with Achim, and doing something on our own, helping "regular" people... Even in a simple way as with these missions... People come, share their worries and issues, and feel better... There is no better recognition than that...

But we are not machines, and I do understand your point of view... We sometimes need a few nice words to stay motivated and to continue...

You are doing a great job! Keep building the BR community and focus on those people who add value to YOUR journey! All the best! 🍺

Thank you for your words, they really calmed me down and I realize that I have the same feeling that you mentioned. I think I'm trying to get so much attention from those above me that I forget about those I helped down below and who I still help.

I also feel good when I can help people. Many newbies started following me and I exchanged many ideas with them and was able to give them great support. I think that's what I have to do, keep going and helping, and one day my time will come!

Thank you for your support and for these kind words. Sometimes that's all we want to read/hear. Thank you very much! ❤️
