I know the feeling, my friend, as I've had that happen before too. I've learned to backup all essential information and credentials, though I really need a backup phone too. For phones with locked bootloaders the options are fewer. Rooted phones allow for a 100% backup of everything, which can be saved to an SD card, and restored easily. The backups can also be made to run automatically every day. That's one of the many reasons that I'm making certain that my next phone has such an unlocked bootloader.
