Strutter: Kiss - My musical choice of the day and Rising Star Statistics

In this section, I will no longer be handing out STARBITS, as those entries are not allowed. However, I will continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.

Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me remember whether I have already talked about a song before or not. The most recent one is Rocket 69 from the american pianist Todd Rhodes.

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Strutter from the legendary american band Kiss.

In my last post, I talked about a song I discovered thanks to one of the most iconic video game series: Fallout. This time, I'm going to talk about another band I discovered thanks to the influence of video games.

About fifteen years ago, when I was around 6 or 7 years old, I remember my mother giving me one of my first consoles: the PlayStation 2. I remember playing several games such as Crash Bandicoot, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, and any game related to soccer, such as Pro Evolution Soccer (PES). However, one of the most iconic games I have ever played, which is completely related to music, is missing from that list: Guitar Hero.

I remember perfectly how much I enjoyed playing the first song and seeing the whole stage set up when I played Slow Ride by Foghat. The same thing happened with the songs that followed, such as Barracuda by Heart, Mississippi Queen of Mountain, Hit Me With Your Best Shot by Pat Benatar, and finally Rock and Roll All Night by Kiss.

I remember loving that song so much that I talked to my mother about the band, and she ended up telling me about their rather strange clothing. That's how I ended up discovering the song I chose for today: Strutter. It was one of the first international rock songs I heard in my childhood, so it had a very special meaning for me.

Kiss is an American rock band formed in 1973 by guitarist and vocalist Paul Stanley, bassist Gene Simmons, guitarist Ace Frehley, and drummer Peter Criss. One of the things that made them unique was that the band began wearing makeup and costumes inspired by comic books.

They released their first album in 1974, titled “KISS.” It had several national hits, such as Strutter, Deuce, Black Diamond, and Cold Gin. However, these songs became classics many years after the band became famous worldwide. Today, Strutter has become one of the band's most successful songs, garnering over 100 million plays on the Spotify music platform and an impressive 10 million views on YouTube.
