RE: How do you prefer to drink your milk? (Mini comment contest # 11)

in Amazing Drinks9 days ago

Hello dear community, here is my participation 🤗

Milk is one of those drinks that I used to drink with my coffee every day in the morning. When Mom got up, the first thing she did was to prepare a cup of Café con Leche, she was the first one to pour her cup, but she always made sure that there was enough for everyone.
To this day, one of my favorite ways to drink milk is mixed with coffee and if I can add a little Cocoa Powder, all the better.

Unfortunately I have had to reduce the consumption of cow's milk some time ago I became allergic to dairy products especially milk, because of this I learned to look for other alternatives that are very healthy, such as making my own vegetable milks, almond milk is my favorite, with it I prepare my vegan desserts, I make coffee with milk, hot or cold oatmeal atol, the truth is I use it almost the same as I would use cow's milk.

Although I love vegetable milks, my weakness is still cow's milk and from time to time I prepare some smoothies like for example the Banana, I love that one, I also like hot milk, drink it at night with a little honey, and I usually use it in some of my desserts, but I always use it with caution.

And now I ask @elamaria, @milik80, friends do you like milk, what is your favorite, how do you like to drink it? 😊

Blessings 🙏

Thanks for the mention amiga. I don't tolerate dairy either amiga and I love a milk. A hug

Too bad friend, I also have my problems with milk so I drink it rarely, but remember that there are vegetable milks that are very good, such as almond milk for example, this is rich in protein and vitamin E, plus you can use it for a number of recipes.

Yes, my friend, I eat them without milk. Almonds, coconut with oats, oatmeal alone, hazelnut are a delight.

Que lamentable amiga, hay otras opciones por allí. Yo si que la disfruto.

Hi @carisma77

I'm responding to your entry late because the connection hasn't been the best since Friday.

It's a shame you've developed a dairy allergy; perhaps it's your body's response to a stressful situation. In any case, plant-based milks are delicious, and even better, they're cruelty-free.

The memory you share of your mom making coffee with milk every morning is lovely. It reminded me of my mom, who made her coffee very strong and then added a small amount of frothy milk on top. That was her first coffee of the day. Unfortunately, due to health issues, she can't drink much coffee these days, just a little bit now and then.

Thank you so much for participating in the mini-contest.

Cheers!

Hello dear @sirenahippie.
I totally understand about the connection and well late but sure.
And yes it really is a pity, my problem with dairy because I really like it a lot although as I already know my body better I consume it from time to time, thank God there are vegetable milks that are a very good and healthy option.
What fond memories with our mothers, they will always be in our hearts!
A hug 🤗
