RE: Hive Community Planning Progress

in Ecency13 days ago

The question is then where do the funds for the liquid HIVE come from?

If it wouldn't be too much to check for, you could always make the community a paid community. Like 0.1 HBD pr month or something cheap, so you still get a good group of people into the community but also get some funds to get delegations or extra delegations.

There is always the dividend paying tokens you can go for. Its passive, but it takes a while though to get something meaningful.

Like your own DUO, but also DAB, EDSI, PANDA or PAKX :D

Or you can talk to community/token leaders about getting a token delegations from them and talk about burning 90% of what you get and sell the last 10% for extra hive to help fund the delegations.

You could ofc, also sell a token. But from what I have heard/seen then it takes alot of effort for it to not collaps in price, unless the project buys it back and sells it. You properly know more about having a token than I do :D

Sort:

I hadn't thought about a paid community. It's certainly an interesting idea, although I don't know how well-received it would be when everywhere else is free.

I thought about the token idea and it may be an option. It would take more time though, so I may save that for a few months into starting things.

Thanks for the feedback and ideas!

I know. It can be a hard sell on Hive, when everything is free. But why does everything have to be free? :D

@drawmatic is a weekly lottery which runs automatically.
Not sure if that can be used in some way in the community :D

That's a great idea with Drawmatic! I may have to look into incorporating that and maybe HSBI as well.

HSBI could work aswell.
Drawmatic is just a smaller project, so it could be awesome if more people joined it :D

You could also use the benefical thing on posts, but I have seen community leaders get in trouble for that before.
Maybe because they traded votes for that benefical. Dno.

I think HiveCN uses benefical

I didnt know that was possible.
A subscription based community.

Well, you can properly code a bot to look at memos and with the correct amount of HBD or you can do it manually.

I dont think you can stop people from posting in your community whether or not they have paid.

Oh there.. That does it.

Tho it might work for some kind of premium content.
May be a show or services etc.

Well maybe. But you really cant lock things behind a paywall that well here on Hive xD

Exactly..
The way it works here.. Everyone sees your market.

Ye. Its good, thats what Hive is build on :D
