RE: Veggie burgers and more soon to be banned - Veggie-Burger und mehr bald verboten

in LeoFinance20 days ago

I think its insanely stupid to ban this words x)

Words are something we come up with and an exact sciance x)

Like why is it called a "door" and not a "tall gate"? The purpose is the same.

And nobody is confusing the products and if you are, maybe see a doctor? :D

Its a fking waste of time and money for the EU Parliment to discuss shit like this xD

I agree with you on the last point. And that's why something like this should be dealt with quickly and easily.

Perhaps the stove manufacturers should also be billed for the costs of this useless feature. After all, they are to blame for it.

Take a look at the picture. Why is the vegan or vegetarian label smaller, in some cases significantly smaller, than the other labels?

If the font size of both were at least identical, or even larger for vegetarian, that would be acceptable. After all, vegetarian products are being sold.

However, I believe there is a deliberate attempt to mislead buyers. I don't know about you, but I don't want to spend two hours shopping for groceries because I first have to read the packaging carefully.

The products that we know as animal products and which are, by definition, animal products, such as schnitzel, are copied and made to look as similar as possible so that you can't tell the difference.

I find it particularly striking with minced meat – why does it have to look exactly the same? Well, almost. Why is the color imitated? Why can't it be green, blue, yellow, whatever?

And it's actually easy to confuse it, especially when it's in the freezer next to the meat.
Okay, if it's in a completely separate area in some supermarkets where it says Vegan/Vegetarian in big, bold letters.

A door and a gate are usually understood to mean something different, and there are certainly exceptions.

As a rule, I would say (even if there are exceptions) that when a door is closed, it completely closes off something, whereas this is not necessarily the case with a gate, i.e., you could usually climb over it.
And there are other subtleties too. A gate can even have a door.

Look at for the "symbol" that what I do xD
I never spends any time looking at labels, I can always tell immediately.

Well, if there is an attempt of deliberately confusing the buyer and it works, maybe the buyer should do some homework to not get confused xD

We are getting posioned with E-Numbers either way, how is that not a bigger concern than some old lady buying some fake meat xD

It's not the customers' responsibility. Companies have a duty not to mislead customers. Fortunately, we have consumer protection in Germany that is on top of this, just as it is with misleading packaging, etc.

Two colleagues were just talking about how they also made a mistake because it looks exactly like normal liver sausage and is right next to it.

Just because something else may be worse, should we not address the other issue?

If people are too retarded to realize what they eat or what they buy. Thats a big problem x)

Well, I live in Denmark, so I properly have the same consumer protections as Germany xD

Your colleagues are retarded then, I have never heard about people picking up the wrong kind of food.

Sorry, but calling people retarded just because they pick up the wrong product is kind of retarded itself.
Many people go shopping after work and are in a hurry. It’s really easy to grab the wrong thing, especially when you have five similar products right next to each other — and then one vegan version that looks almost the same.

It even happened to me recently with a Zero and a regular syrup, just because I was in a rush — honestly, I just really needed to use the toilet 😅

Maybe you’ve never heard of it because you never do the shopping yourself? Someone else does it for you?

I’ve actually seen people come back to the store to return something right after realizing it at their car.

And I’ve heard the same from plenty of others — it’s not as rare as you might think.

Even with online shopping, where you’d think people have more time, it happens quite often.

Many people go shopping after work and are in a hurry

Stop stressing then?..

Maybe you’ve never heard of it because you never do the shopping yourself? Someone else does it for you?

lol, brother..

I am 34 years old, single. If I don't shop, I die xD
I do most of my shoppings on Sunday in bulk, in no stress chill-mode
I also always have meat and veggies in the freezer if I run out of everything else :)

So, I still think people are just dumb. (If I can't call them retarded) xD

It's easy for you to say that, because your shops are open on Sundays, but here that's the exception rather than the rule.

It's doubly easy for you to say that because, as a single person, you don't have to rush home.

I, for example, have to hurry home after shopping to make dinner so that my wife doesn't go to work on an empty stomach.

I find it really arrogant to call people stupid because of that. I don't know if you've noticed, but we live in a really hectic world.

And there are certainly reasons why the EU has to deal with this. It's definitely not because one person thought, “Let's ban that.”

I said I do most of my shoppings Sunday. I also do it on other days if I need something x)

I dont see how that changes a single thing, is your wife not an adult who can take care of herself and make food herself?

You live in a Hectic world. I dont. Its a choice my dude x)

People are still dumb in generel, people dont have common sense :)
