For once, we didn't go to the beach today as usual. No sand under our shoes, no sea breeze – and yet it was one of those days that just feels right. Instead, Ella and I decided to go for a long, relaxing walk through the winter landscape. Almost 6 kilometers, completely covered in snow.
The best part: absolute peace and quiet. Not a soul in sight. Just the soft crunch of snow underfoot, our own breath in the clear, cold air, and every now and then Ella's paws finding their own way. For her, of course, it was a dream come true – running free, romping through the snow, sniffing, following tracks. You could really tell how good this freedom was for her.
The landscape was almost kitschy in its beauty. Everything was bathed in white, trees covered with a fine layer of snow, paths that looked as if no one had walked on them for hours. That special winter silence, where even sounds seem muffled and your mind suddenly becomes completely calm. The air was clear, fresh, and cold enough to wake you up—just the thing after a week full of appointments.
So no beach, but instead solitude, nature, and time just for us. Sometimes that's all you need. ❄️🐾
