Greetings to all my friends who are part of the guest author. On this occasion, I want to talk about dreams and the cost of some of them.
It's not hard to understand why I mention the cost of some dreams, because you can simply look at this vehicle in the foreground and my uncle's dream of being able to finish it. I have an uncle who is a mechanic and has dedicated his entire life to auto repair, both interior and exterior, but above all, to the functioning of these vehicles. He is a person who used to race illegally in his youth and then entered the major leagues a little, but due to financial problems and after the crisis that the country suffered, both he and many of his friends decided to simply retire for the time being due to the cost of many things. Recently, my uncle sold his old vehicle to buy that truck in the background, and at the same time, he had some extra money left over, which allowed him to get this Camaro, which is his next project. However, sometimes when I see the work he is doing on the vehicle, I see how difficult it is for him, since there are parts of the vehicle that simply cannot be made by hand, and their cost is really high.
Welcome to this video and expression space that we call guest authors, as I said at the beginning, all referring to this vehicle, which is a Camaro sports car, a car project that is a long-term dream, but we know that time is very limited.
Sometimes I think that owning a vehicle is simply a waste of money when I see people struggling to repair their vehicles due to maintenance costs, etc., etc., etc.
However, I can't imagine the satisfaction that can come from starting a project like this and finishing it. I can't imagine the excitement of putting the engine in the hood of the vehicle, turning on the fuel injection, and hearing the roar of that engine, feeling the vibration and power of it. It must be an amazing feeling.
I know my uncle will succeed. I know that one way or another he will be able to start this car, put it on its four wheels, and drive it down the road. Although I'm not sure it will be used for competition, I am sure that this car will be a lot of fun to drive. What I can see is that several years have passed and the engine from my uncle's first Camaro is still here, although some parts are missing. Having the block is a big step forward.
There is everything I want to share with you for now. In the next post, I will talk more about this vehicle, giving you more details about it, the model year, and the whole process it has undergone since it was brought to Punta de Mata, the town where I live, including how it started and how it is going. I also hope to have the opportunity, if this vehicle is finished, to show you the final result. For now, that's all.
