🌺 ¡Hola! ¡Hola! 🌺
My dear friends who care for the beauty of your skin and hair, I hope everything is going well in your lives 😊. My hair is crying out for help! I've tried various hair masks and I'm not seeing optimal results to say that I'm really making a positive change, moisturizing it “from root to tip.”
¿Resultados?
I'll start with NutriBela masks, which are very popular in the country. I won't deny that their presentation, aroma, promises of complete restoration, and price make them a favorite among many women who use them regularly. My friend Flor recommended that I combine two: the one containing stem cells with the anti-frizz one. After washing my hair as usual, I should apply the mask for 40 minutes and then remove it. This recommendation is to be done twice a week, and that's where the first problem came in: because my hair is VERY LONG AND THICK, I didn't have enough time for it; besides, doing it at night is counterproductive because the hair doesn't dry properly. However, believing that it could help with my unruly hair, I did as I was told.
Results? Indeed, my hair was softer and had a pleasant scent, which I had been looking for for a long time. On the other hand, it still looked dull, lifeless, and unruly, to the point that it split and had no shape. I stopped using it and looked for a more specialized product.
¿El resultado?
I went to Farmatodo (the quintessential convenience store for many here 😉) and walked up and down the aisle, looking, reading, but I ended up even more confused 🙃, because I felt that my hair NEEDED ALL THE BENEFITS THEY OFFERED! Besides, I don't know the difference between masks, hydration, surgeries, and the other benefits offered on each package I saw. I decided on this thermal hair mask, which, apart from the benefits it offers, comes with a cap that has become my favorite for later use when I do other masks. It follows almost the same procedure as all masks, but with the novelty of “massaging the cap to activate it,” which made me feel like I was at the beauty salon itself.
The result? Yes, my hair was very soft and shiny, but just as damaged. I don't know if you can see it in these photos, but I really don't see it as straightened or manageable:

And what about homemade moisturizers? I find them very tedious to make, and I think they require too many ingredients when I can just go to the store and buy something ready-made. The only thing I've tried recently is vinegar to clean my scalp, and it has worked, but I don't do it very often.
¿Qué me falta?
What am I missing? I've noticed several flaws: First, I think I urgently need a haircut to get rid of all that damaged hair. Second, hydration, hair surgery, keratin, Chinese straightening—SOMETHING! That truly hydrates from the root. I think these treatments do work, but only when the hair is healthy and hydrated, and they just help maintain hydration.
Third, I need to clean my scalp of dandruff and seborrhea because if the root is damaged, the hair can't grow healthy and strong. And lastly, I need to be disciplined and consistent in using the products that help me. Healing will not come in a single application, so I must be consistent in dedicating time to caring for my hair; if I want results, I must follow the instructions correctly. Additionally, I need to increase the frequency of washing to avoid dirt from daily exposure on the street. And well, more than a recommendation, if you know how to improve these moisturizing treatments to restore strength, shine, softness, and smoothness to my hair, I would appreciate it (yes, I want everything to improve the health of my hair😎).
