During my walkabouts, I sometimes come across old buildings that have long been abandoned.
The owners of these buildings may have passed away without leaving any heirs, or they may have emigrated to another country leaving nobody behind to look after their property.
Another scenario is that multiple owners or heirs may own such a property at the same time, and find it hard or even impossible to agree and jointly decide to restore and renovate it.
The result is derelict ghost buildings like this one.
