My Actifit Report Card: March 12 2026

in Actifit15 days ago

Springtime here in central Arizona is already hot which is making my runs a bit more difficult than I would like but I was still up for a decent 4 mile trail loop.
We're forecasted to have temperatures in the 80s all week and it was 82 degrees when I finally got out for my run (I need to start my runs early in the day it seems).
My legs felt tired but running on the rolling trail meant that I wasn't going to be zipping along.
No one else was out there with me although there were plenty of birds at least. A bright sun really made for a warm run but at least the wind rolling down from the mountains was a help.

4 miles complete so a pretty good effort despite the warmth.
At least walking along the Jail Trail in the late afternoon made for much more comfortable conditions. The old town was crowded and quite a few folks were walking the trails.

Lulu got to meet a couple of other dogs and was happily trotting along stopping only for a quick piddle or check some of the smells.
2 miles one the soft dirt with Lulu enjoying her customary splash in the Verde River.

Off to Lynx Creek tomorrow for a few hours of prospecting.
Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow.

Nice to see Lulu back on the trail with you. Your spring time looks lovely. Here it's starting to get warmer as summer draws nearer. It's really not too advisable here to stay out in the sun all that much. Enjoy your weekend!
