We arrived up in Spearfish early this afternoon after a long drive up from Arizona and we're all sp happy to be able to unpack a bit and rest - but Lulu and I had time for a walk around our favorite haunt.
Not much has changed but it's wonderful to see the lush and beautiful landscape with green grass, Spearfish Creek flowing clear and swift right through the town and even a Wood Duck family with tiny ducklings out on the hatchery ponds.
Lulu had a blast trotting through the hatchery and park recreation trail like she had never left. No bunnies or squirrels to stalk and chase but they will be plenty of days for her to have fun.
Off to Rapid City tomorrow for much needed shopping and hopefully I'll feel up to some easy jogging.
