It was a lesson productive day than I would have liked as my legs and back were a bit more tired and stiff this morning - thus my running wasn't all that spectacular.

At least the sky was sunny and beautiful when Lulu and I set out for our 2 mile morning walk. A couple of squirrels crossed our path and Lulu enjoyed a few minutes to stalk and then chase them up the trees. Then it was a quick walk around the recreational path and then through the hatchery followed by a loop through the city park.

I was very stiff when I started my run and my pace was pretty slow but at least the route is essentially flat which eased the difficulty a lot.
After heading out to the base of Spearfish Canyon I wound back along the mountain bike skills loop. My pace always slows here due to the tight turns but the trail surface is packed dirt so the footing is much easier than the rocky trails in Arizona.
I ended up with 4 ok miles and that was all for my day.
Tomorrow I hope to hike with Lulu along the beautiful Iron Creek trail high up in the canyon.
Everyone take care.
