I am impressed and happy with my run today as I was able to crack 6 miles while feeling great and motivated despite a tough climb up along the winding bike trails that rise to the plateau above the grounds.
I was on the pavement for just a few hundred yards before hitting the climb and I maintained a steady pace as the narrow trail zig-zagged up the steep hillside before creating ar the quiet roads, then a smooth and long descent to the more mellow new trails where I relaxed a bit for some productive miles under the trees.
Another really good day as I'm approaching my upcoming 3 hour hilly trails race along the nearby Bill Hill course - a tough run especially if the weather is hot.
