Interestingly, I happened to come across a news that flashed in the Television two days back. The news was about an Alumi group of a Government Medical College in my State, who took the initiative, a step ahead to built a rest room for the by-standers of the Cancer Research Centre*.
The story goes this way. Few Doctors who were students of that medical college in 70's, joined hands to make their dream into reality, a rest room for the by-standers. No more the bystanders had to wait for long hours, in the corridors of the hospital Infact, a wonderful initiative, which will be further promoted by other Alumini's.
When a person falls sick, all eyes are on the patient. There is a say "too many hands spoil the broth". Likewise too many opinions can disturb a normal person, who takes care of a patient. Nobody gets to understand the pain taken by a bystander to take care of a sick patient.
Advices and questions, pour in by the visitors, visiting the patients, to the bystanders, such as, How is his/her health? Did he eat ? Was the medicine/food given on time.? Give him that food or this food ? When is the Doctors next visit etx. ??? There is no end to queries.
But any questions or guidance pertaining to the bystanders? None... not yet... If the health of a patient is a concèrn, simultaneously, the person taking care of a patient should also be given prime importance. Most of us are unaware of the fact, a bystander should be mentally & physically healthy to take care of a sick patient.
Photos are captured by me on my visit to different tourist destination. Appreciate for going throughI this article of mine. *So next time, when we visit a sick person, besides enquiring the health condition of sick, let's make sure to enquire the bystander "How are you doing"?
Thankyou for your patient visit to my blog
