I think it’s a bit sad that I deeply relate to this.
Somewhere along the line, “free time” became time to catch up on everything we couldn’t fit into our schedules. It’s as though we’ve forgotten that simply existing without an agenda has value too.
You know it’s interesting how some of our most peaceful moments come from periods when nothing extraordinary happened at all. Maybe doing nothing isn’t wasted time and also maybe, it’s the space that allows us to reconnect with ourselves.
It’s Friday today and I’ll be quitting my job tomorrow. It’s been taking a lot from me than it’s offering.
