Hey @savvyplayer — I checked the logs, and the report is actually correct: 3 tips is what really went out. Here's what happened. Yesterday you tipped @tydynrain about 8 times in a row. The bot has an anti-spam rule: you can only tip the same person once every 10 minutes (and only a few times per day to the same person). So 3 of your tips to tydynrain went through, and the other ~5 were blocked by that cooldown — they never became actual ALIVE transfers, which is why the daily report (which counts tips actually sent) shows 3.

It's not the report being wrong — it's the spam-protection doing its job. If you tip different people, every one counts (up to your daily limit of 10+).

I am considering to lower this down from the 10minutes, as I know that if you do your replies in batch, like I often do myself, you easily hit these walls…

While I can Power Up more ALIVE to reach a higher ALIVE tipping tier (and have more relaxed limits) by selling my other #HiveEngine tokens, I would have a hard time explaining to other ALIVE token tippers that restrictions are in place "to reduce tipping spamming/farming". 🙁🤯

I certainly understand that. It was originally put in place because some notable 'spam fighters' contacted us to ask us to counter the spam use of our bots. This mostly happened with the MMB bots, but Bjorn implemented the same thing for ALIVE too, just to be on the safe side, since there's enough downvoting occurring. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

It's nice to be informed that some people spam and farm Hive token tipping bots such that their respective owners would put protective measures in place, but it's no longer nice when people flag token tipping bots' respective Hive accounts. 🧘‍♂️🤯

I agree, but action simply had to be taken against some of these spammers/harvesters. At some point there were thousands and tenthousands of tips per hour going through a whole carefully set up network only meant (and the only activity on the accounts) for tip-harvesting. It created a lot of spam on the blockchain, and a drain of resources.
A tried my best at that time to make sure that we could stop it, which we did. And since your question now is the first remark that came in after it being in production for over a year, I think it wasn't done that bad ;-)

Perhaps you may want to use what other people on Hive do to make their bots resistant to spammers, such as @kenny-crane implementing a restriction on his #tokenfaucet giveaway bot where only Hive accounts that have more than 50 Reputation and are not blacklisted elsewhere on Hive can participate !INDEED. 🤔

Here are some of the options you can use to minimize "spam & farm" tippers !INDEED for your token tipping bots (particularly the !ALIVE token tipping bot in this case). 🤓

require a minimum Hive Reputation (35 Rep as you said on your other comment)
require not being in certain blacklists (of your choice)
admins and mods (of the #WeAreAlive tribe)using a report command
big (ALIVE) holders (let's say 20,000 ALIVE or more staked) using a report command
manual review from any Hive person who reports "spam & farm" activity

Do keep the gate of reputation of 35 instead of 50, to allow for newer accounts to join the tipping fun as well.

50 Reputation as a requirement is somewhat high, so I and @savvytester helped some people on Hive boost their respective Hive accounts' Reputation to 50 !INDEED by curating all their comments. 😅 Reaching 50 Reputation without publishing any post is really hard, just like what @savvytester experienced before when their comments still didn't get enough curation. 🤯🤓

Because of that update, I would have a much more difficult time to tip all 10 !ALIVE tokens (especially without any token tipping attempt failing). 💸🤯 It would be completely okay though if there is a fixed limit for tipping a given Hive account per day (let's say 5 or even 3 which your and @borniet's MMB-based tipping tokens already have), because I can publish 3 to 5 comments and not just 1 comment within a given 600-second period. 🤯🤓

I understand. I wasn't keeping close track of the tipping limits, since I rarely seemed to have issues. The spammers and the farmers are the ones that we we asked to restrict. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

We have such blacklist, but it is currently manually curated (outside the code, and bot-specific ;-) ).
I am not too eager to allow a simple command from anyone to blacklist another user, it would need a little more than just that for it to be fair and effective.
But we do welcome you and every other tippingbot user to let us know who is abusing the system so we can blacklist them from tipping, or any use of the bot at all (less relevant now as it was in the past).

The !report command (or something similar) should be accepted by your ALIVE token tipping bot only from (core) team members of your #YouAreAlive tribe as stated on my previous comment, not by any Hive account (even if they are ALIVE holders) !INDEED. 🤓 After that, you can manually whitelist ALIVE tribe supporters to use the report command even if they are not ALIVE team members. 🖖😏

I know that you want to minimize the effect of unwanted tipping of your (and @tydynrain's) Hive tipping tokens (the ALIVE token in this case), though I really think that it harms more legitimate tippers, since "spammers and farmers" will just find other ways to take unfair advantage of such tipping tokens !INDEED. 🙁🤯

I !HOPE that more than 99% of legitimate users won't get affected by anti-spam measures for (token tipping) bots, and the majority of the rest which is 1% can easily do something to avoid getting filtered for legitimate use !INDEED. 🧘‍♂️

Anyway, your LOLZ token tipping command on your comment didn't work because it has been 8 days since the LOLZ token tipping bot did not work. 🤯🤓

The idea is indeed that even more than 99% of the legit users will not be affected, and I think we're pretty close to that, and even closer with the latest update.

I'm completely okay with the same Hive account receiving only a limited number of tips per token per day (UTC) which your and @tydynrain's !IDD, !HOP, !WRD, !MMB, and other tokens already have, but not a (600-second cooldown) timer for tipping any token (the !ALIVE token in this case) any given Hive account because it's very hard to keep track of. 🤯🙁💸
