Welcome to yet another guest post by yours truly, it's not that I particularly enjoy doing these, but it is not too much work and since I do not accept a reward it helps grows the HP and the divs for DUO stakers.
Anyway Let me tell you all about a little nightmare I had last night.
I was doing some packing for a return package and I dropped the label on the ground as I went to pick it up I felt a sharp pain in my finger and naturally pulled my hand back, I quickly realized what happened I got a big old splinter from my wood floor under my nail.
What made it bad was that the splinter was fully under and after it went in and broke off my skin was mostly covering it, it was not hurting much the whole time but there was concerns of an infection If I could not remove it .
It was a struggle because as I said my skin wrapped around it I kept trying to dig in to scoop it out but had no luck I was starting to worry that I would have to need medical treatment at this point there are 2 kids in bed so that is not so simple.
I had to try my best, I ended up carefully trimming my nail as much as possible this then revealed a tiny bit of the splinter I grabbed it with a tool and was able to pull it out to much relief, I then treated it to prevent infection and put a bandaid to keep my finger safe.
Right bellow is a picture of the bit of the floor the splinter came out of and the picture above with my hand that was after I already removed the splinter it has been about 24 hour and my finger is healing up well. range 60-70
Still a bit tender but what can you expect I am just really glad that I did not have to go to a hospital over something so small but something small can snowball so you got to be careful, not worth loosing a finger of hand due to negligence.
