Let me just set the scene for how I came across this game.
Ollie had just woken up for one of his night feeds, me and Aimee were exhausted after getting him changed and fed, there is this eerie video playing on YouTube, but we hardly pay any attention to it until Ollie is settled and sleeping once more.
"What's this?" Aimee asks in a sleep deprived voice, barely able to keep her eyes open.
My own retinas seer, as they adjust to the light of the screen. "I'm not sure," I reply.
We both get drawn into the play through and a feeling of impending doom settles in, which can only be conjured by the most gripping dystopian media.
"How much is it?" She asks, as she goes on her phone.
She's intrigued and hooked too, which means I've essentially gotten the nod to buy it.

Our Experience
We got fairly hooked on it from the get go.
Essentially, you're in your house, and at night people come knocking at your door asking to be let inside.
There has been some cataclysmic event, making it impossible to go out during the day, and you're kind of watching society collapse through your windows with each passing night.
You cannot be left in the house alone, or the visitors will get you, but while inviting people in, you may be inadvertently inviting in a visitor who will murder a person a night until you're the last one left.
Right now, you're probably thinking that inviting in only Humans and keeping them all in there for the entire game is a safe bet... Well, it's not, because FEMA agents also come to your house and take people at random.
It's hard to juggle it all and keep enough people in your home to continue playing, but if you can, you get to encounter so many odd and weird things that make the game both exciting, and terrifying.

Here's an example of the investigations you can carry out. As you question people, you can inspect there body parts to find out who is a Visitor, but you have to regularly check the radio and TV stations for news.
The Art Style
Everyone looks kind of green, which automatically enhances the feeling of sickness in the pit of your stomach.
I saw advertised that the devs were looking for people to send pictures of their teeth, eyes, and other body parts to be used in the game.
You know that uneasiness you can get when watching a stop motion film? The use of reel peoples body parts gives that feeling, most likely because they have essentially animated photographs.
Every person encountered look terrifying and ugly, but what they lack in looks they make up in dialog and great characterization.
The story is fairly horrific, and there are many moments that made me feel almost sick. The characters who populate this world help to add a sense of desperation to the game, and due to everyone looking odd, it makes it almost impossible to judge a book by its cover.
This game really pushes that idea forward... always remember, not everyone who looks weird is a killer, but every killer will definitely look weird.

If you encountered this person, would you believe they were safe to enter your home? Well, in my experience, they actually were okay.
If, like me, you like dystopian worlds and a slight bit of psychological horror, I'd highly recommend this game. Also, it's fairly easy-going on the hardware, so I'd say you could run it happily on a potato.
