Horizon between the rails | My entry for #Monomad Challenge [ENG-ESP]

in Black And White3 days ago

Hello, Hive black-and-white photography enthusiasts!

In the past, I have shared other photographic series featuring railway lines, their sleepers, and iron machines gliding along in their linear magic toward some destination.

As I make my way toward any point of the compass in the city, it is almost impossible not to encounter a railway crossing or the remnants of train tracks. Consequently, that inner or subconscious call—which we photographers cannot ignore—captivates and compels us to halt our journey and click the shutter right there, merging with the light and its photographic allure.

I was on my way back from my son's house, crossing the railway station—the sun at its scorching zenith—when something caught my attention.

Nature—in the form of flowers, blades of grass, and the green of hope—is there, conquering the concrete on one side and the rocks on the other, asserting its beauty amidst screws, nuts, unyielding steel, and an infinite horizon...

And so, sighing as I gaze at that horizon—which I hope will embrace me someday not too far off—I bid you farewell, sending a warm, radiant embrace to each of you until the next black-and-white frame.

This is my entry to the #monomad contest from @monochromes and @brumest.

Thank you very much for your visit!

Hi, friend, I find all photographs related to railroad tracks very interesting—at least in my opinion. There’s a similar railroad track near my house, and sometimes it feels to me like a kind of altar, because—whether out of folk tradition or religious syncretism—people walk by and cross themselves, that is, they perform this ritual of resignation and perhaps ask God to spare them from being hit by a train or something like that. But it turned out to be very interesting, and when I saw your post, I was reminded of them. I really love these photos. Best regards
