Hello, black-and-white photography lovers!
There are times when you’re walking down the street and simply blend into your surroundings without even trying.
That’s how I was taken by surprise one afternoon when I suddenly saw a gem of Cuban creativity and perseverance right in front of me: a vintage car playing the part of a perfectly preserved, museum-worthy classic on wheels.
I think I’ve mentioned this here before: I’m a novice when it comes to cars. Yet, I’m passionate about them, and the sense of awe lingers whenever I come across one that truly captures my attention.
I tried to find the driver to ask about the car’s specifications, but I couldn't locate him. Even so, I couldn't resist taking my time to photograph every line and every detail—elements that convey power, enduring strength, presence, and a remarkable level of care.
Just as I did, perhaps you’ll find yourselves sighing as you linger over each image—who knows?

Hay momentos en que uno va caminando por la calle y se funde con el entorno sin proponérselo.
Así, me sorprendió la tarde cuando de pronto vi delante de mí a una joya de la creatividad y perseverancia de los cubanos: un auto antiguo jugando a ser un clásico museable sobre ruedas perfectamente conservado.
Creo que ya lo dije por acá una vez, soy un neófito del tema de los autos. Sin embargo, me apasionan y el asombro demora en irse cuando me encuentro frente a alguno que atrapa mi atención.
Intenté localizar al chófer para que me contara las especificaciones de este auto, pero no lo encontré. Igual no pude resistirme a fotografiar con calma cada línea, cada elemento que se traduce en fuerza, longevidad latente, presencia, y curioso cuidado.
Tal como me sucedió a mí, quizás ustedes se descubren suspirando mientras se detienen en cada fotograma, quién sabe.
