Hi amigo! I was not a big fan either but somehow it's better to know it a bit otherwise in the future we could be out as many old people are now because they had same feelings about internet for instance.
It's true that it could be dangerous as many guys are becoming too much dependent of these tools and they are thinking less! We have to keep using our brains of course, but maybe if we learn in a moderate way we can save some time from some boring tasks and keep more focused on other more interesting ones.
I don't know progress cannot be stopped whether we like or not... we just can choose how we are going to use the technology in a smart way, and avoiding to be used by technology.
