Ciao ragazzi!
E sono qui di nuovo, la settimana scorsa non ho partecipato perchè ero un pò incasinata, certe volte non abbiamo tempo per tutto, ma volevo esserci in questa nuova edizione 47º del concorso #UntoBisunto della comunità Olio di Balena. E vedo che il tema suggerito questa volta è diverso, originale e certamente attuale, cioè, è sull'intelligenza artificiale di cui se ne parla tanto recentemente, e sicuro anche voi usate in qualche modo, vero?
Ma la domanda è buona, quest'intelligenza, artificiale appunto, cosa sta diventando? Una minaccia? Una risorsa utile che ci serve di alleato per alcuni compiti o è semplicemente uno specchio di noi? Come sta evolvendo oppure come credete voi che evolverà da ora in poi?

Ovviamente l'AI o IA (Intelligenza Artificiale) è presente con noi da un tempo a questa parte, per le cose più quotidiane come cercare informazione, chiedere dati, creare disegni, immagini e perfino video, e fare tante altre attività. Certe persone l'usano anche per cose della vita come decidere cosa mangiare in base a ciò che ha nel frigo ad esempio, scrive gli ingrediente e l'AI cerca la migliore ricetta. Altri fanno disegni di tanti tipi, altri organizzano informazioni del lavoro, e vediamo questi chatbot trovati in molti siti web.
Allora direi che sta diventando per alcune cose un'alleata certamente. Ad esempio per cose semplice come mettere alcune immagini qui sui miei post, posso creare certe immagini, e qui su Hive abbiamo anche la nostra propria AI tool su PeakD (l'avete già usata?). E metto qui sotto un piccolo esempio:
Si possono fare davvero tantissime cose... e io ad esempio ho scoperto uno strumento di Google chiamato NotebookLM che può essere molto utile per studenti, perchè se carichi sul sito documenti, libri pdf o appunti, quest'intelligenza artificiale ti fa schemi, riassunti (anche in formato audio e video), mappe mentali, domande, guide e schede per studiare, ecc. E poi trovi già molta più informazione!
Ma con la tecnologia come con tanta altre cose ci sono sempre rischi, soprattutto quando la usiamo in un modo abusivo o esagerato. E c'è chi l'usa per tutto, anche a scuola, e vabbè si imparano cose e si riduce il tempo per altre più faticose, ma a volte diventa soltanto la soluzione più comoda e rapida, niente più. E questa comodità ci allontana dello sforzo e di un'intenzionalità vera per imparare... e perciò alcuni professori sono preoccupati, perchè vedono soltanto elaborati copiati senza nessun tipo di riflessione. Quindi potrebbe diventare proprio una minaccia per l'intelligenza naturale di tutti noi se non troviamo un modo giusto per usarla.
Poi c'è il fatto del titolo del tema suggerito: è semplicemente uno specchio di noi stessi? Bò se pensiamo che tutto l'artificiale è stato creato da noi, e che in questo caso, l'AI prende l'informazione di tutta quella grande base di dati che è Internet, e anche delle nostre conversazione precedenti, ecc. Tutto ciò che ci offerisce è in realtà già creato in qualche modo, solo che l'AI ci aiuta a selezionare, analizare, raccogliere, riassumere, e più azioni... da tutto quel mondo creato in un'immensa nuvola che non può essere vista se non attraverso uno schermo.
L'AI dovrebbe essere uno strumento, una risorsa per complementare in questi casi la nostra performance, attività o apprendimento. E qui viene la questione: bisogna creare limiti all'AI? E infatti, è possibile farlo? Il futuro sembra sempre affascinante e un pò sconcertante perchè non sappiamo bene come immaginarlo e poi di sicuro sarà diverso e forse incredibile!

I'm back again. I didn't participate last week because I was a bit busy. Sometimes we don't have time for everything, but I wanted to be part of this new 47th edition of the Olio di Balena community's #UntoBisunto contest. And I see that the suggested theme this time is different, original, and certainly timely: artificial intelligence, which has been so much talked about recently, and which I'm sure you've used in some way, right?
But the question is a good one: what is this intelligence, artificial intelligence, to be precise, becoming? A threat? A useful resource that serves as an ally for certain tasks, or is it simply a reflection of ourselves? How is it evolving, or how do you think it will evolve from now on?

Obviously, AI (Artificial Intelligence) has been with us for some time now, for the most everyday things like searching for information, requesting data, creating drawings, images, and even videos, and many other tasks. Some people even use it for everyday things like deciding what to eat based on what's in the fridge, for example. They write down the ingredients, and AI finds the best recipe. Others make all sorts of drawings, others organize work information, and we see these chatbots on many websites.
So I'd say it's definitely becoming an ally for some things. For example, for simple things like adding images to my posts, I can create certain images, and here at Hive we even have our own AI tool on PeakD (have you used it yet?). Here's a small example:
There are so many things you can do... For example, I discovered a Google tool called NotebookLM, which can be very useful for students. If you upload documents, PDF books, or notes to the site, this artificial intelligence creates diagrams, summaries (even in audio and video format), mind maps, questions, guides, and study sheets, etc. And you'll find much more information!
But with technology, as with so many other things, there are always risks, especially when we use it abusively or excessively. And there are those who use it for everything, even at school, and yes, you learn some things and save time on other more strenuous tasks, but sometimes it simply becomes the quickest and most convenient solution, nothing more. And this convenience takes away from the effort and true intention to learn... and that's why some teachers are worried, because they only see papers copied without any thought. So it could become a real threat to all of our natural intelligence if we don't find the right way to use it.
Then there's the issue of the title of the suggested essay: is it simply a mirror of ourselves? Well, if we consider that everything artificial was created by us, and that in this case, AI draws information from the entire vast database that is the Internet, and even from our previous conversations, etc. Everything it offers us is actually already created in some way, only AI helps us select, analyze, collect, summarize, and more... from that entire world created in an immense cloud that can't be seen except through a screen.
AI should be a tool, a resource to complement our performance, activity, or learning in these cases. And here comes the question: should we place limits on AI? And, in fact, is it even possible? The future always seems fascinating and a little disconcerting because we don't know exactly how to imagine it, and then it will certainly be different and perhaps incredible!
