Even though I had 1482.23 Hot Sauce in my in-game wallet, I couldn't play a 1000 Hot Sauce slot round.

The same thing happened to me. I don't know what kind of bug it is, but it won't let you play unless you have hot sauce to play twice. So in your case, the maximum bet you can make is 741, which is half of 1482.
