Stake House Den: My 29,000 Hot Sauce Session (Blackjack vs Roulette vs Slots)
I am an active player in several Hive-based games including all the games on the Arcade Colony platform.
Among the games available on Arcade Colony, my favorites are Splinterlands and Moon Karts because I find them enjoyable and play them almost every day.

To be honest, I don't like casino games and they don't attract me because I don't like games where the house has a disproportionate advantage over the player and where luck plays too important a role.
I made an exception for Stake House Den because it is not a traditional casino.
Stake House Den is a web3 casino based on NFTs and tokens (COLONY and SCRIPT).
In traditional casino games, players bet real money, while on Stake House Den, players use an in-game item called Hot Sauce.
Hot Sauce cannot be purchased or transferred, but it can be produced over time by staking NFTs and SCRIPT tokens.
Hot Sauce can also be obtained completely free of charge by simply logging in. Logging in on consecutive days allows you to receive 200 Hot Sauce per day starting from the seventh consecutive day.
In this post, I share one of my gaming sessions in which I used a total of 29,000 Hot Sauce playing the three games available on Stake House Den: Blackjack, Roulette, and Slots.
Blackjack
Of the three games available on Stake House Den, I prefer to play Blackjack because, even though the dealer has an advantage over the player, it is the game in which the player has a minimum of strategy to use, whereas in Roulette and slots it is only luck that plays a part...
I started my Blackjack session with:
- 30482.23 Hot Sauce
- 2393.15 COLONY (earned by playing Moon Karts)
I played 10 hands and bet 1K Hot Sauce on each hand.
In the first hand with 7 and 9 = 16 against the dealer's 2, I chose STAY.
Result: Lose!
In the second hand, with 4 and 2 = 6 against the dealer's 5, I chose HIT
I received a 3 and my score rose to 9, so I chose HIT again.
At 19, I chose STAY
Result: WIN. I earned 19.36 COLONY
In the third hand with 9 and Q = 19 against the dealer's 9, I chose STAY.
Result: LOSE.
In the fourth hand with A and 2 = 13 against the dealer's 10, I chose HIT.
I received an Ace and chose HIT again.
Another Ace and I chose HIT!
With a score of 20, I chose STAY.
Result: Stand-Off = tie (I received a refund of my bet).
In the fifth hand, with 8 and 4 = 12 against the dealer's 2, I chose HIT.
Result: LOSE.
In the sixth hand, with 7 and 8 = 15 against the dealer's 10, I chose HIT. Result: LOSE
In the seventh hand, with 8 and 7 = 15 against the dealer's 4, I chose STAY. Result: LOSE
In the eighth hand with 8 and A = 19 against the dealer's 8, I chose STAY. Result: LOSE
In the ninth hand, with 9 and 3 = 12 against the dealer's 5, I chose STAY. Result: LOSE
In the tenth hand with 3 and J = 13 against the dealer's 7, I chose HIT and then STAY. Result: WIN! +19.24 COLONY
In the eleventh hand with 8 and 3 = 11 against the dealer's 10, I chose DOUBLE. Result: WIN! +43.55 COLONY
I ended the game session with:
- 11 hands played
- 11000 Hot Sauce used
- 82149.99 COLONY won
Roulette
After playing Blackjack, I played Roulette.
As with Blackjack, I bet 1000 Hot Sauce for 10 spins of the Roulette wheel.
In Roulette, luck plays a very important role, and the presence of 0 and 00 brings the house edge to 5.26%.
For 10 spins of the roulette wheel, I always bet on red.
I won 4 times for a total gain of 90.56 COLONY
I lost 6 times.
Slots
Among the games available on Stake House Den, slots are the least fun for me because they are based entirely on luck!
I bet 1000 Hot Sauce per round.
I only played 8 rounds of slots, used a total of 8000 Hot Sauce, and lost every time.
By the way, while playing the slots, I also found a bug that I will report to the development team.
Even though I had 1482.23 Hot Sauce in my in-game wallet, I couldn't play a 1000 Hot Sauce slot round.
Conclusion
In the gaming session I showed you in this post, I used:
- 11000 Hot Sauce to play Blackjack and win 82.14999 COLONY
- 10000 Hot Sauce to play Roulette and win 90.56 COLONY
- 8000 Hot Sauce to play Slots without winning COLONY tokens
In total, I spent 29000 Hot Sauce to win 172.70999 COLONY with a COLONY Won/Hot Sauce Spent ratio of 0.00596 (5.96 COLONY per 1,000 HS spent).
To summarize, the “COLONY/1000 Hot Sauce” values are:
- Blackjack: 82.14999 / 11 = 7.468
- Roulette: 90.56 / 10 = 9.056
- Slots: 0
- Total average: 172.70999 / 29 = 5.96
In the gaming session I showed you in this post, I used high stakes (1000 Hot Sauce). For a serious statistical comparison between the three games, many more hands/spins at lower stakes are needed (possible in my next post).
172.70999 COLONY are worth 0.13723218 SWAP.HIVE when exchanged via the SWAP feature of the COLONY:SWAP.HIVE pool.
I still think that COLONY token rewards should be increased, or Hot Sauce production should be increased for the same amount of NFT staked, but that's just my personal opinion.

Sono un giocatore attivo in diversi Hive-based games tra cui tutti i giochi presenti sulla piattaforma Arcade Colony.
Tra i giochi presenti su Arcade Colony i miei giochi preferiti sono Splinterlands e Moon Karts perchè sono giochi divertenti per me e infatti ci gioco quasi tutti i giorni.

Sono sincero, non mi piacciono e non mi attirano i giochi da casinò perchè non mi piacciono i giochi dove il banco ha un vantaggio spropositato sul giocatore e dove la fortuna gioca un ruolo troppo importante.
Ho fatto un'eccezione per Stake House Den perchè non è un casinò tradizionale.
Stake House Den è un web3 casinò basato su NFT e tokens (COLONY e SCRIPT).
Nei giochi di casinò tradizionali il giocatore punta moneta reale mentre su Stake House Den il giocatore utilizza un in-game item che si chiama Hot Sauce.
L'Hot Sauce non è acquistabile e non è trasferibile ma è producibile con il passare del tempo tramite lo staking degli NFT e dei token SCRIPT.
L'Hot Sauce può anche essere ottenuto in modo completamente gratuito facendo semplicemente il login e più login in giorni consecutivi permettono di ricevere un quantitativo di 200 Hot Sauce al giorno a partire dal settimo giorno consecutivo.
In questo post condivido una mia sessione di gioco in cui ho utilizzato in totale 29000 Hot Sauce giocando ai tre giochi presenti su Stake House Den: Blackjack, Roulette e Slots.
Blackjack
Tra i tre giochi presenti su Stake House Den preferisco giocare a Blackjack perchè, anche se il banco ha un vantaggio sul giocatore, è il gioco in cui il giocatore ha un minimo di strategia da utilizzare mentre nella Roulette e nelle slots è solo la fortuna a giocare...
Ho iniziato la mia sessione di gioco a Blackjack con:
- 30482.23 Hot Sauce
- 2393.15 COLONY (guadagnati giocando su Moon Karts)
Ho giocato 10 mani e in ogni mano ho puntato 1K Hot Sauce.
Nella prima mano con 7 e 9 = 16 contro il 2 del dealer ho scelto STAY.
Risultato: Lose!
Nella seconda mano con 4 e 2 = 6 contro il 5 del dealer ho scelto HIT
Ho ricevuto un 3 e il mio punteggio è salito a 9 e ho scelto di nuovo HIT.
Con 19 ho scelto STAY
Risultato: WIN. Ho guadagnato 19.36 COLONY
Nella terza mano con 9 e Q = 19 contro il 9 del dealer ho scelto STAY.
Risultato: LOSE.
Nella quarta mano con A e 2 = 13 contro il 10 del dealer ho scelto HIT.
Ho ricevuto un Asso e ho scelto ancora HIT.
Altro Asso e ho scelto HIT!
Con un punteggio = 20 ho scelto STAY.
Risultato: Stand-Off = parità (ho ricevuto il rimborso della puntata).
Nella quinta mano con 8 e 4 = 12 contro il 2 del dealer ho scelto HIT.
Risultato: LOSE.
Nella sesta mano con 7 e 8 = 15 contro il 10 del dealer ho scelto HIT. Risultato: LOSE
Nella settima mano con 8 e 7 = 15 contro il 4 del dealer ho scelto STAY. Risultato: LOSE
Nell'ottava mano con 8 e A = 19 contro il 8 del dealer ho scelto STAY. Risultato: LOSE
Nella nona mano con 9 e 3 = 12 contro il 5 del dealer ho scelto STAY. Risultato: LOSE
Nella decima mano con 3 e J = 13 contro il 7 del dealer ho scelto HIT e poi STAY. Risultato: WIN! +19.24 COLONY
Nell'undicesima mano con 8 e 3 = 11 contro il 10 del dealer ho scelto DOUBLE. Risultato: WIN! +43.55 COLONY
Ho chiuso la sessione di gioco con:
- 11 mani giocate
- 11000 Hot Sauce utilizzati
- 82.14999 COLONY vinti
Roulette
Dopo aver giocato a Blackjack ho giocato alla Roulette.
Come nel Blackjack ho puntato 1000 Hot Sauce per 10 giri della Roulette.
Nella Roulette la fortuna gioca un ruolo molto importante e la presenza dello 0 e dello 00 porta a 5.26% il vantaggio del banco (house edge).
Per 10 giri della roulette ho puntato sempre sul rosso.
Ho vinto 4 volte per un guadagno totale di 90.56 COLONY
Ho perso 6 volte.
Slots
Tra i giochi presenti su Stake House Den le slots sono il gioco meno divertente per me perchè è un gioco totalmente basato sulla fortuna!
Ho puntato 1000 Hot Sauce per giro.
Ho giocato solo 8 giri di Slot, ho utilizzato in totale 8000 Hot Sauce e ho sempre perso.
Tra l'altro giocando alle slots ho trovato anche un bug che comunicherò al team di sviluppo.
Anche se nel mio in-game wallet avevo 1482.23 Hot Sauce non ho potuto giocare un giro di slot da 1000 Hot Sauce.
Conclusione
Nella sessione di gioco che ti ho mostrato in questo post ho utilizzato:
- 11000 Hot Sauce per giocare a Blackjack e per vincere 82.14999 COLONY
- 10000 Hot Sauce per giocare alla Roulette e per vincere 90.56 COLONY
- 8000 Hot Sauce per giocare alle Slots senza vincere token COLONY
In totale ho speso 29000 Hot Sauce per vincere 172.70999 COLONY con un rapporto COLONY Won/Hot Sauce Spent = 0.00596 (5.96 COLONY ogni 1000 HS spesi)
Riassumendo i valori “COLONY/1000 Hot Sauce” sono:
- Blackjack: 82.14999 / 11 = 7.468
- Roulette: 90.56 / 10 = 9.056
- Slot: 0
- Media totale: 172.70999 / 29 = 5.96
Nella sessione di gioco che ti ho mostrato in questo post ho usato puntate alte (1000 Hot Sauce). Per un confronto statistico serio tra i tre giochi servono molte più mani/spin a puntata più bassa (possibile mio prossimo post).
172.70999 COLONY valgono 0.13723218 SWAP.HIVE se scambiati tramite la funzionalità SWAP della pool COLONY:SWAP.HIVE.
Continuo a pensare che le ricompense in token COLONY andrebbero aumentate oppure andrebbe aumentata la produzione di Hot Sauce a parità di NFT staked ma questa è una mia opinione personale.
