With this column, I'd like to share some world news and discuss it with you. Below are the stories that have struck me the most, looking at the events of the last few days. We'll look at the news that have most impacted me on the following topics (these topics may change with each post):

--1-- _ Conflicts and Wars in the World _ Ukraine-Russia Conflict, US Plan_ The United States has developed a plan to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The current situation almost seems like a US ultimatum to Kiev, as the plan is accompanied by the US's willingness to no longer provide military aid. In some statements released by Zelensky (6th President of Ukraine), he seems to have indicated that we are now at a historic crossroads. --3-- _ Renewable Energy _ Record Global Investment: According to some statistics, significant investments in renewable energy were made in 2024. Data shows that renewables will attract $870 billion in 2024, led by photovoltaics. However, growth appears to be uneven between rich and developing countries. --4-- _ World Politics _ Russia Stagnates_ In the third quarter, Russia's GDP grew by just 0.6%. This slowdown appears to be due to sanctions and increased military spending fueling inflation, thus slowing the economy. Conclusions:
-1- Is the Ukraine-Russia conflict at a crossroads? We'll see if Trump, the US president who promised during his election campaign that he would stop this conflict, succeeds.
-2- I was struck by this news about Australia. Australia would be the first country in the world to ban social media for minors. I'm curious to see if this will actually be implemented.
-3- I'm pleased that investments in renewable energy continued to increase in 2024. We're not very good at managing renewable energy yet, but I believe we'll get there in time.
-4- The Russian economy has slowed. In my opinion, the data show a slowdown that's still not in line with what we Europeans have been told. We've been paying a high price for energy for some time now, yet only in the third quarter of this year did the Russian economy begin to slow.

Con questa rubrica vorrei proporre alcune notizie che riguardano il mondo e mi piacerebbe confrontarmi con voi. Qui di seguito le notizie che mi hanno colpito di più dando un’occhiata agli eventi degli ultimi giorni. --1-- _ Conflitti e guerre nel mondo _ Conflitto Ucraina-Russi, piano USA_ Gli Stati Uniti hanno costruito un piano per far terminare il conflitto tra Russia e Ucraina. La situazione che si sta presentando ora sembra quasi un ultimatum degli USA verso Kiev in quanto il piano è accompagnato dalla volontà USA di non aver più tanta disponibilità a fornire aiuti militari. In qualche dichiarazione rilasciata da Zelensky (6º Presidente dell'Ucraina), sembra aver detto che si è ora davanti ad un bivio storico. --2-- _ Politica mondiale _ Australia vieta i social ai minori_ Nuove linee guida vietano l’uso dei social media ai minori di 16 anni, in risposta a preoccupazioni sulla salute mentale e la sicurezza online. Sembrerebbe che Meta abbia già iniziato a rimuovere i giovani utenti prima del divieto sui social media, che si applicherà appunto in Australia. --3-- _ Energie rinnovabili _ Record di investimenti globali:_ Secondo alcune statistiche, nel 2024 sono stati fatti molti investimenti verso le energie rinnovabili. I dati dicono che nel 2024 le rinnovabili hanno attirato 870 miliardi di dollari, trainate dal fotovoltaico. La crescita però sembra essere disomogenea tra Paesi ricchi e in via di sviluppo. --4-- _ Politica mondiale _ Russia in stagnazione_ Nel terzo trimestre, il PIL della Russia è cresciuto di appena lo 0,6%. Questo rallentamento sembra dovuto al fatto che le sanzioni e l’aumento delle spese militari hanno alimentato l’inflazione, finendo così per frenare l’economia. Conclusioni:
-1- La situazione del conflitto Ucraina-Russia è forse davanti ad un bivio? Vedremo se Trump, il presidente USA che aveva promesso in campagna elettorale che avrebbe fermato questo conflitto, riuscirà nel suo intento.
-2- Sono rimasto colpito da questa notizia che riguarda l’Australia. L’Australia sarebbe la prima nazione al mondo a vietare i social network ai minori. Sono curioso di sapere se questo divieto verrà davvero eseguito.
-3- Il fatto che gli investimenti in energia rinnovabili siano aumentati ancora nel 2024 mi fa piacere. Ancora non siamo bravissimi a gestire le energie rinnovabili, ma credo che con il tmepo ci riusciremo.
-4- L’economia russa ha rallentato. Secondo me i dati mostrano un rallentamento ancora non allineato a quello che ci hanno raccontato a noi europei. Da tempo stiamo pagando a caro prezzo l’energia eppure solo nel terzo trimestre di quest’anno l’economia russa ha accennato ad un rallentamento.
