Hello everyone. Merry Christmas to everyone in the house and a happy new year in advance.
For week 197: episode 3, we have a topic that allows us to bring out issues in our country that is sponsored by our government that may not be going down well with the people. There are decisions that our governments take that has brought us to a place in this country and we are all crying because of it with exception of the government itself.
Let take a good look at some areas in my country that the government has made bad decisions and is affecting us so badly.
Employment
Corruption
Banditry
Guys we have the major one which is corruption. We know in our country here we have a lot of things going on and it actually started from the top. most of our leaders are corrupt. They have been corrupted, and I don't know how it all started. I don't even know how we got to this place. How did we get here?
One thing I know is that when I was a little girl we have good leaders who were really to lay down their lives and some of them actually laid down their lives for the country to become what it was then. We had a good life back then. we also had everything working for our good not until when we have corrupt leaders coming to leadership and most of them are not even really ready to let go of the post of position. They just want to be there. they just want to hold on to it and they are corrupt. corruption in the sense that whatever thing that is white can be turned to red in Nigeria as long as they are there in power. When they see something good they will say is bad, and when they see something bad they will say it's good. all that they want to do is just to get money get wealth, keep money for their great grandchild. This is the first and major thing I want to talk about - corruption.
Secondly, we have unemployment. This is also very dangerous tonus. A lot of youth are educated after graduating from school they start suffering and going from one office to the other hunting for job that is never available. The government is not ready to employee people and such decision has left our young people to turn to thieves and drug addicts. Employment is a very deep wond in Nigeria that the government is not doing anything to heal. At a time people begin to think that there is no need of going to school again because after suffering in school, one might stay for another ten years or more searching for job. After all said and done they still fall back on their parents to start taking care of them.
Most times we see anyway adverts of job opportunities online or onsite. They have already made such opportunities for people who are not even worthy of the job. People who did not Merrit the job.
Lastly, I want to talk about kidnapping or banditry.
We also have Bandits hovering around everywhere in the country in each state. There is no state that is free from banditry. we have kidnappers everywhere that are moving around the places making Life miserable for people. People are now afraid of going to the farm or even traveling on the Highways. When people are kidnapped they make demands for money or ask for ransom. When people are not able to pay, they lose their lives at the process.
All of these three that I mentioned here are caused by the kind of decisions that our leaders make on our behalf. They only make such decision because it will benefit them and not the masses.
