Wow I didn't know that was the parenting style in Pakistan, so privacy feels like a fairytale around that part of the world?? Hmm.
Well I believe every child deserves some level of privacy which should still be kept in check by close adult supervision as kids especially teenagers tend to abuse this kind of privileges. The best thing to do is tell them that their privacy is an important part of them that should not be taken for granted and if it is, there are punishments for deviancy.

I agree with you that we tell kids that they have privacy too and what if we win their trust like a friend then they'll share their matters with us so it's a good way to keep an eye on them
