(It's interesting as well)
So there is this place near me in RJ Shopping Mall where, on one of the top floors, I can find all the novels. When the novel Alif came out, I cannot express in words how I felt when I visited the place. I had already finished listening to it in YouTube audio form, but some episodes were not published. I was there, standing on a floor filled with many shops, and all of those were filled with all sorts of books. It was not just the aroma; it was truly magical.
I wanted to buy the Alif novel for someone as a birthday gift, but that person was not a novel fan nor had time. So I did not buy it that day, but again, it was a magical experience.
About losing a companion, I just keep them, and just having them stay on the shelf feels like the book and I have come even closer. Then I can give it to others for reading, and they can exchange books or novels with me. It is like the book or novel always holds an exchangeable value, and I can trade it. Then, once both have finished reading, we swap back. The more books you have, the more people want to swap with you. Then after that, we can talk about the books while enjoying a cup of tea (hot leaf juice) or kahwah. So I see it as, instead of losing a friend, I am making more real-life friends because I have a book that they want. It happens a lot when we are in college or school, so my next generation can use my treasure collection to make friends.
About the not-arguing part, it is like having an ideal life partner, lol.
