The truth is there is no prefect human and people should get that.
Now this issue on the dowry aspect. It's not like that here in my place, here it's the duty of the groom's family to provide dowry. And it can be in money term or whatever is agreed upon.
Truly people don't follow religion, they just go by what society says.
