The day was very nice so we decided to stop by the local vineyard for a wine tasting. Perissos is the name of the vineyard.
The name means “Exceeding Abundantly above what is expected , imagined or hoped for.”
This photo was their logo with motto carved into a barrel top.
They also offer flatbread so we ordered a basil pesto flatbread to go with the tasting. They provided 6 different wines during the tasting - two whites, 1 rose, three reds.
Most of the vines contained ripe grapes. When talking with the server that referred to harvesting some of the grapes the prior morning before the heat of the day.
In one of the rooms were barrels full of wine being aged for a few years prior to bottling.
This particular vineyard has acres and acres of vines full of grapes they use to make their wines.
