‘Call to action’ – three words that echo in my head like a relentless alarm clock in an empty room, heh, heh, heh. Today, my column isn’t here to soothe bruised egos, but to shake people out of their slumber, for I’m fed up with witnessing the chronic passivity that plagues our species.

Please forgive my frankness.

I see thousands of human beings submerged in a voluntary lethargy, indoctrinated by the idea that luck, that capricious entity, will sort out their existence whilst they remain pathetically immobile.

I find it unbearable to see how life slips through their fingers whilst they lie sprawled on a bed, devouring trash TV or glued to a mobile screen, seeking digital validation that nourishes not even the soul. I’ll say it without mincing my words: they have become social parasites, beings who consume oxygen and resources without contributing a single ounce of effort to the workings of the world. Luck doesn’t fall from the sky; it is forged with calloused hands and determination.

To achieve something meaningful before the biological clock stops ticking for good, you have to work hard. Passivity is the refuge of cowards who fear failure, but shouldn’t we fear utter insignificance even more? Don’t you think? Don’t expect a miracle whilst sitting in your comfort zone; the universe doesn’t reward intentions, it rewards real action. My ‘call to action’ is straightforward: get up, put down that damn device and start building your reality. Death accepts no extensions; it will find you according to what you have sown. Stop waiting and start being the sole driving force behind your own story.

"Call to action", tres palabras que retumban en mi cabeza como un despertador implacable en una habitación vacía, je, je, je. Hoy, mi crónica no busca acariciar egos heridos, sino sacudir conciencias dormidas, pues, estoy harto de observar la pasividad crónica que infecta a nuestra especie.

Por favor, disculpen mi franqueza

Veo a miles de seres humanos sumergidos en un letargo voluntario, adoctrinados por la idea de que la suerte, ese ente caprichoso, les resolverá la existencia mientras ellos permanecen patéticamente inmóviles.

Me resulta insoportable ver cómo la vida se les escapa entre los dedos mientras están tirados en una cama, devorando basura televisiva o pegados a la pantalla de un celular, buscando una validación digital que no alimenta ni el alma. Lo diré sin anestesia: se han convertido en parásitos sociales, entes que consumen oxígeno y recursos sin aportar un solo gramo de esfuerzo al engranaje del mundo. La suerte no cae del cielo; se fabrica con callos en las manos y determinación.

Para lograr algo significativo antes de que el reloj biológico se detenga para siempre, hay que trabajar duro. La pasividad es el refugio de los cobardes que temen al fracaso, pero más debería temerse a la absoluta intrascendencia, ¿no lo creen?. No esperes un milagro sentado en tu zona de confort; el universo no premia intenciones, premia ejecuciones reales. Mi "call to action" es directo: levántate, suelta el maldito dispositivo y empieza a construir tu realidad. La muerte no acepta prórrogas, te encontrará según lo que hayas sembrado. Deja de esperar y empieza a ser el único motor de tu propia historia.
