First up: I'm not religious, I basically don't know how to even be religious.
With that said, sorry if I offend anyone, that's not my intend, but:
I know you say you don't need god to fix your problems, but when I read through the article, I see the opposite. I can see the frustration from you, but also (and perhaps maybe most) the need for help to regain what you have lost, in hopes to have your problems fixed.
It's a bit rough and probably lack nuances, but all in all, that's what shines through to me.
