Trying to Reconnect to my Spiritual Root

I feel useless these days, seeing how life moves around me and I am not in it all. It seems the days now run faster than I can keep up with them. I am lagging behind in almost every aspect of my life and I don't know how to catch up anymore.

I stayed up late last night to reflect on my life to understand what went wrong and where I lost myself along the way. Having been in and out of sickness for the past few years, with a strained finance and struggle to keep family together, I realized the depth I have fallen especially in my spiritual connection and faith. I use to be a person of faith and believe in prayers, but in the past few years I have drifted away from them all.

My life is filled with anxiety and worry about almost everything. In the past, when I faced difficulties, I would turn to prayers and find solace in my faith. No matter how things may be, I always maintain a positive attitude and inner peace. But now, I am completely lost in-between two parallel lines and not knowing which part to follow anymore. I cannot even control my present moment let alone plan for the future.

As I sat there on my bed in the silence of the night, with tears almost rolling down my cheeks, I realized that I needed to find my way back to God. I need to rebuild my spiritual foundation and reconnect with the faith that once guilded me through the darkest time of my life.

This is not because I need God to fix my problem but because I need him to help me find myself again and restore the peace that I have lost along the way. A life lived in fear and anxieties is prone to errors and poor decisions that could make things worse.

I know everyone is not religious but everyone do have some faith or beliefs in something greater than themselves that gives them inner peace and confidence to face life's challenges. No matter what it is, everyone exercise faith in their own ways. I have lost mine and I need to find it again before it's too late.

So, I have decided to rebuild my spiritual connection and rediscover the strength of faith in my life once more. Perhaps I will start by reading the Bible and from there I could be able to pray again. Something I have not been able to do in a long time, and I hope it would be the first step to healing and finding inner peace and getting a hold on my life again.

First up: I'm not religious, I basically don't know how to even be religious.
With that said, sorry if I offend anyone, that's not my intend, but:
I know you say you don't need god to fix your problems, but when I read through the article, I see the opposite. I can see the frustration from you, but also (and perhaps maybe most) the need for help to regain what you have lost, in hopes to have your problems fixed.

It's a bit rough and probably lack nuances, but all in all, that's what shines through to me.

Perhaps, you are not wrong in your submission. Why I am not focusing on the problems is because that's what I have been doing that only leads to frustration and more errors. Regaining my faith and spiritual connection could have an impact on how I view and approach life's challenges.
