A Little Life Hack I have Found

An image generated with AI
There is this peculiar pattern that I have realized and observed within my life, and I am sure that I am not the only one who feels the same way. What I have realized is that whenever you are ready to move forward in life, things get a little tougher for you. You have been waiting patiently for a very long time, and then when you decide to move, something little just happens to test you.
It was something that caused me frustration for quite some time. Actually, I found it unfair. I wanted to go, I gathered my courage and said to myself, “Now is different.” However, as is always the case, the moment I wanted to move forward, something else happened. Delay sets in, something that I found not easy.
Yesterday, I was thinking hard on this phenomenon when something amusing came to my mind. I felt I had cracked the code on how the world works, not in the scientific sense, but in the sense of having the freedom that comes when you stopped fighting the world and just allow things to move on its own.
What I have found is that whenever we want something that has great value for us, we go for it with all our strength. We put all our expectations in it. And then, if things don't go as we have been expecting, then the disappointment hurts us a little more than normal. And then, if we go for something without too many expectations, the road seems easier to walk on.
It is like saying to yourself, “I’m okay with making things better, but I’m not desperate to do so.” That in itself can cause you to look differently at how things went. Instead of looking for a perfect outcome, it allow room for patience to exist, rather than forcing things to happen.
This realization changed the way I now approach lift. Life doesn't resist efforts, rather it's pressure that it resists. There is generally a resistance when we try to force things to happen. If we approach lift with a clear and relaxed mind, with no panic, the results are always better.
With that, I stopped blaming myself whenever things went south and instead, I asked myself what lesson can I learn from this? The transformation alone brings peace of mind even though things aren't yet better.
