Very busy day at work working with vendors and a security architect, taking part in a meeting to test a new security scanning product.
We updated Nginx in our Kubernetes cluster that fell a bit behind on the updates, and then at 4:30 p.m., our desktop laptop people decided to push out a mandatory upgrade to Windows 11 o my laptop.
That is despite the fact that we asked them to delay it since I am getting a new laptop in a month anyway... Well, now I am on Windows 11. The upgrade took a few hours, but so far, everything seems to work OK.
Quite a finish to a very busy week at work, I guess it was a week of upgrades everywhere 🙃
I'm looking forward to talking off a couple of days off next week, and then on Wednesday, we have another big production deployment with a bunch of stuff I worked on this week and on Thursday we have a big picnic on the Lake Washington at work.
We are finally starting to get so many tomatoes that we can't keep up, so I have started to store them in our fridge.
Every single variety is now coming in. Those days to first ripe fruit are basically meaningless as there is about two weeks between the earliest tomatoes and the latest ones.
I think my favorite flavor this year is the large pink ones called Brandywine. They are the sweetest and most flavorful of the bunch.
The next three days are supposed to be a heat wave in Western Washington. Hopefully, the tomatoes will survive it.
Finally, I have over ten thousand steps today as I was able to get a weight lifting workout in the evening.
I did my standard three sets of ten pull-ups, three sets of dips, three sets of barbell bench press, three sets of hammer curls, the sets of seated dumbell press, and three sets of triceps extensions with walking in between.
