Tomorrow I am going to the Microsoft Visual Studio Live conference. I have been going to this conference in early 2000s when we had to get approved for a trip to San Francisco as that was the closest location for this conference at the time.
That was a big deal as we had to book airfare, hotel and all that. Then I did attend this conference almost ten years ago when it was first held in Redmond, Washington. And tomorrow I am going back to the Microsoft Campus once again.
This is going to be my very first conference since the rise of Artificial Intelligence and since I am a big fan of GitHub Copilot which is a Microsoft product I am really excited about learning more about using it.
I am also looking forward to getting a big picture view of where our industry is going during the age of AI. Registration is starting at seven in the morning and my drive is thirty minutes to an hour at that time tomorrow according to Google.
Today I did quite a bit at work and even finished the Content Management standard document after running it by our product owner and the whole architecture team.
After work I did a pretty good weight lifting workout as I might not be able to workout during the next three days at the conference. I also managed to build a new dashboard for Splinterlands curation.
The dashboard can still use some more work as it needs to have curated author KE and staked Hive to be populated for more authors, but it is already quite usable, so I have published it along with all the other dashboards.
It has some really interesting data on Splinterlands author rewards since 2021... I really like the chart below that shows how Splinterlands has gradually eliminated rewarding extreme extractor authors that had KE over ten:
The chart below is also very telling, it shows how Splinterlands weekly curation rewards have declined from four to six thousand Hive per week in 2022-2023 to 300 to 500 Hive per week these days.
That is a function of Splinterlands unstaking a lot of Hive and having less Hive Power to curate with. The hay days of earning a lot of Hive by posting about Splinterlands are definitely behind us.
