A relaxed hike on the nearby hills in the late morning before the sun made the temperature a bit warmer than I expected.

Lulu's feeling better today and she was ready for her regular morning walk. She was able to go up and down our steps very well and her hind legs seem so much better - still going to have her take it easy for a while. A great little mile and a half family stroll on an early Spring day.

The trailhead parking lot had a bunch of cars already there with several cyclists starting down the single track but my route was open and clear.

I trekked along at around a 3 mph pace with the first mile being mostly downhill and then level before branching off to start uphill to circle around a couple of nice hills. I passed a couple of friends out hiking as well but the conversation pause was short as everyone wanted to be moving along.

It was warmer than I like but it wasn't enough to make the hike uncomfortable or too dry so I didn't need any fluids.
Wrapped up with 4 miles of hiking which made me happy although it will be nicer when Lulu's ready to hit the trails again.
A short walk in downtown Old Cottonwood with Lulu which she loved - lots of people to give her attention and a treat or two. A roll in the grass rti wrap up the day was perfect 👌.
