I ended up dodging the occasional rain drops on this rather nice day, despite a few afternoon thunderstorms (the ducks and trout didn't seem to mind).

I worked the morning shift as rover so I was able to cover almost 3 miles walking around the hatchery grounds while the weather was sunny and mild.
I was happy that my legs weren't too tired but my first mile was a bit slower but my pace picked up nicely after that and only the somewhat tricky footing on the recently graded bike trails forced me to be a bit more cautious.
One more work day tomorrow then I'll be an overnight volunteer Friday at the halfway turnaround point of the Black Hills 100 trail ultra. 10 or 12 hours at the aid station so hopefully the runners have good weather for this tough trail 100.
