Back to the heat and humidity which made for a slower 5 km morning run into town and back.
I figured a run along the creek path would be a nice change of pace but I would still prefer the dirt trails - just so much more relaxing and fulfilling.

Mostly flat with just a short climb up and down at the local college before a long pavement stretch home.
Lulu and I enjoyed a much more scenic hike along Roughlock Creek and down to Spearfish Falls in the sunny afternoon. Even the higher altitude did little to mitigate the heat until we reached the shady path towards the falls.

I guess most people were down in the town as the trail was much less crowded and we could enjoy periods of quiet hiking under the pines.
