RE: Bloody TikTok

It's stuff like this which made me pull back from using TikTok as a sales channel - they had some pretty insane rules. Made Amazon look sane !

The worst was that they set the delivery timescales, based on the carrier's claimed transit time (e.g. for Royal Mail Tracked 48 they allowed 4 days). If there was no tracking showing delivery by then, they'd remove payment from your pending payments, refund the buyer and let them keep the goods for free.

I like the idea of TikTok, but they make YouTube look easygoing.....

I wouldn't know much about the sales side of things, but that sounds absolutely appalling, Jesus. There is no room for the carriers to get into problems.

Luckily, I got the video appealed and won, which is good, so no strikes against me, and the reason I can't use the live studio is because my account is less than 30 days old. So that's understandable, and hopefully, it'll work out within the next week or so.

Good news about the appeal ! I think TikTok is a great platform, and it's nice to have an alternative to the US-based corporations. From what I've seen so far, it's great for creators and as a way for businesses to do informational/promo/unboxing type clips, but not so much for direct sales unless you're the manufacturer and have the margins to cover the deductions.
