It has been a while and I dont remember all the names and twists anymore but here we go.
so Kit has been a caretaker for around 10 years, if I remember correctly. Even if it werent 10 years exactly, she has experience in that field and worked with a lot of people who couldnt move anymore.
Lenore has been immobile for ages. At least thats what she says, I remember that twist. And Kit even checks her legs to make sure. But then the twist is that Lenore can walk. And that annoyed me so incredibly much. What kind of shitty caretaker is Kit??? The legs of a person that does not walk anymore feel different than those of a person who walks. The muscles go away incredibly fast. And for someone who has been bound to a bed for decades.. Kit should be able to see and feel the difference. I had patients with similar histories. There are almost no muscles to feel anymore. Or they are there but have spasticity. But there is a huuuuuge difference. Bodies change even after just a few weeks of staying in bed. I trusted Kit (because she checked for just that thing!!!) and was sure "that wouldnt be a twist" but then it was. If Kit was just there to clean and had no medical/nursing experience, sure, go for it. But as a caretaker??? Wth did she learn all those years nope nope nope.
