RE: Monero Is Quietly Exploding While the Rest of Crypto Stalls

They share links over images, they do the shares that brings in most views.

If it wasn't for POSH we would barely have any people on X today talking about Hive. If it wasn't for POSH we wouldn't have people sharing on one of the most popular websites in the world.

We should be grateful they don't just cut off our API access like X did. The amount we reward people is a fraction what it would cost marketing agencies to provide the same numbers. Ask lordbutterfly what the 130k did for hive when he tried compared to proven traffic through redditposh.

Whether or not it instantly translates to new sign ups or investors isn't important, it's not like the author reward pool is doing it either right now and this is just a fraction of the rewards. It's something and its working and growing with over 70 people sharing last week compared to only a few a few months ago.

I don't give people reasons to be afraid of me but eventually you get to a point where youre just wasting time and the irrelevant person causing all the time wasting is going around dragging your name and project in the mud cause he's too simple minded to understand the effects and potential of this project and due to freedom of speech I have to waste more time letting other readers know why they're wrong.

OK. So for the same reason we should keep investing in the rally car, I bet it gets a lot of views too! It's not important if it translates in real results for Hive.

But thats not even the point, maybe I'm wrong and you are right. So if you are so sure about it. Do the right thing, make a proposal to DHF and let the community vote. A lot of people trust you and I bet you would pass the proposal. Just don't use the reward pool, because thats not the purpose, right?. At least there will be transparency, you would have to show metrics, goals, etc.

I like the idea of sharing elsewhere. But I wouldn't vote a proposal the way it is today, I don't think we get enough views on Hive. Only a very few posts get over 200+ views, maybe less then 3 a day? The little we get don't have anything to trigger the user interest in learning about the platform. So the real return is small. I don't care how much it cost in marketing agencies, the cost is irrelevant if there are no proven results back to Hive.
You need to make better use of all these views you say are so important.

There is transparency and the people who delegate to me and ocdb, at least the ones I can contact are aware of it and in favor.

If we didn't vote on posh stuff we would just spend extra voting power on hbd.funder, do you consider that to be misuse of the rewards pool as well? What about burn posts? What about authors that get no views nor engage but post daily and get big votes? Are they beneficial to hive? Do you cry in their corner? Maybe start somewhere that's been going on for years and no one's put a stop to it compared to a project that just got things going on reddit and its yet to determine how beneficial it is for our largely unknown platform with only a bunch of weirdos trying to gatekeep how it is used.

thats a good way out, comparing it to things you probably think is wrong. If they can do it wrong, so can I. 👍
I don't dislike burning it, but it's my opinion. Is burning something frowned upon by the community? If it is, they I would rather not do it.

no I'm saying if we weren't voting posh we would be voting on that, do you think that's better vs the potential to bring in traffic to our ecosystem? Do you think just continuing to vote on author's posts with all available voting power instead of experimenting is better? Apparently you seem to think that and you'd be in a minority at the moment so what is the point of this?

the community doesn't think posh is frowned upon, maybe the way we've generated liquidity through posts and comments but they understand it will be used for the project and not go to a single entity.

like cwow today, a lot of people don't know the ins and outs of posh and when they learned they get alarmed, not the first time I've seen happen since I figured out.

I think that if you don't know what to do with it, better burn it. Misusing it is worse then burning.

You clearly egged him on with how you presented it in discord lol

anyway your opinion has been noted like usual, if I did everything based on everyone's opinions I wouldn't be doing anything on here. People have opinions about you as well but I try not to take them too serious either. Have a good day.

Let’s say I’m the devil’s advocate. I presented how I see it. It’s my opinion about it and everyone in that discord can have their own opinions. They can or cannot agree with me.
I know we all have opinions about everyone 😅. I’m definitely far from perfect, I have my own problems, maybe too many. Can’t please everyone.

if you have any ideas on how we can improve curation of posh other than "none of it is worth anything", I'm all ears. I take into consideration what many say, for instance some of the top sharers disagree with voting up image link shares at all but I think it's kind of rude to not reward some people anything at all. I have however switched to only voting some shares with this account as even ocdb's 1% votes may be a bit too large there in terms of hive rewards. Maybe not $ rewards but let's hope this dip is temporary.
