RE: A Buzzing Second Day in Kuala Lumpur

It does look like a 'fest'. That menu doesn't sound so strange to a half Sicilian woman who grew up in an Italian/Jewish neighborhood. Pickled pigs feet was a Sicilian delicacy and stuffed derma (stuffed beef intestines) was a Jewish specialty.

I can't eat either of them any more, but when I was a child, they were rare treats for me.

Oh! That makes me curious how those tastes now!

Both very salty, and full of fat :))

Haha no lean versions?

😅

It sounds like you have quite the adventurous palate! It's always interesting to hear about the foods people grew up with!

My mother was Sicilian :) I don't think they could afford to throw out any part of the animal, including brains (which I've learned is not a good thing to eat!). A lot of these foods became delicacies for second generation Sicilians..

Me don't eat brain! 🤯

😂
