The same also goes for Spurs who hosted FC Copenhagen and won (4-0). The biggest surprise on the night was Liverpool who ended their week long misery by beating Real Madrid (1-0) at Anfield.
Other matches on the night saw the defending champions PSG losing (1-2) to bundesliga giants Bayern Munich while Juventus played out a (1-1) draw with Sporting Lisbon.
