Dave had always wanted his friend Alex to be the chairman of their association. He took time to market him during the last election but unfortunately he lost to a 'better' candidate -Duke.
Few months into Duke's administration people started grumbling about his mismanagement high handednesss in the management of affairs of the association. Dave saw this as another good opportunity to being his man Alex to power. He hatched a plan to be executed on the next general meeting.
When they gathered at the next general meeting he raised as an issue of general concern Duke's mismanagement of the association funds. He was expecting many members to echo his point but that was not the case. He called for a voice vote for and against Duke. Reluctantly members opted for the vote and at the end of th day Dave was in the minority.
Duke simply grinned and continued his administration. This time things even got worse than before.
