Another training day at Nuevo Sol. I know so much more about fabrics, threads and stitches now. Even words in English and Spanish that I have no idea what they would be in German.

We’re almost through with the quality control training, though I don’t know how much that is going to help. The work culture within the company is quite rotten in several segments of it, and it will be hard to change that. Possible, yes, but decisions have to be made – and they’re not mine to make, so nothing I can help with but give advice. Consult. One of the perks of being a consultant – I can’t force anyone to do anything they don’t want to, nor do I have to.

Nero is a lot better today. Well, not “a lot”, but he turned around when I visited him and ate some dry food out of my hand, and then a couple of bites out of the plate. He’s even more awake and responsive, and that gives me hope that he will make it. Still some time to recover, but he has that, thanks to the donations of my community towards his medical bills. He has enchanted many people who come and eat at the restaurant downstairs, as he’s always around there during the day and is quite friendly with the people that come.

I went out with friends today, and maintained my non-alcohol rule almost completely. Almost. I did drink a few sips of beer, but not even half a bottle in total. For one, I didn’t feel like it, for second, I want to have that control over myself. Especially within the week. Weekends are a different story, though that will be the next step. I don’t drink excessively, but there are health precedents within the family that can be worsened by alcohol, and I’m approaching the age where it might become important. So, better safe than sorry.

So far for today. I’ll try to sleep earlier this time. Tomorrow is another long day. Video call with a friend is something to look forward to. Gym before that (I haven’t been all week due to the cold), and then to the police that is responsible for children matters, delivering the official order that the judge gave me to get them involved into the case. Jamsession in the evening. It’s going to be a long, good day!
Thank you for reading and have a good night.
