Hey everyone. After reading todays post from @bradleyarrow called EVERYTHING SEEMS FLAT.... , mainly the part where he mentions "flatness" in new content creators on Hive getting next to no votes. Rather than leaving a comment on why I think that is, I decided to make a post after a-year-long hiatus.

Well, the reasons, I think, are quite simple. Everything actually IS flat. For the most part. Whales and OG's are upvoting each other, curation trails have their long set routines they rarely deviate from, and a lot of manual curators seem to think that word count is more important than the message conveyed. That leaves only the new people to upvote other new people's posts. And since they lack the HP, getting next to no rewards on their posts is what makes new people quit - understandably so.
There are of course exceptions, and kudos to them, but for the majority of accounts, everything IS flat.
