Only one walk today, but a long one. Not because the weather begged for it (spoiler: it didn’t), but because I had the time, and sometimes that’s all you need.
The skies were grey, the air was damp, the vibe was… very Belgian November. But the trail along the canal delivered. Mushrooms popped up like forest gnomes hiding secrets, ducks left little rippling signatures behind them, and bare trees stretched into the clouded sky like sketches on a wet napkin.
11km, 13k steps. No frills, no fuss. Just a walk through silence, reflection, and the occasional squelch underfoot.
Not glamorous, not sunny. Just good. Solid. Honest.
