You know it’s going to be an “adventure” kind of day when the heating gives out on a November morning. While most people were sipping coffee, wrapped in cozy blankets, we were explaining boiler error codes to a repair tech and trying to not freeze to death.
Needless to say, our usual Saturday long walk got a bit trimmed. But hey—life’s like that. Curveballs and cold radiators. Still, once things were patched up and the house started defrosting, we snuck in a solid 5km walk (total 7.5km with errands). And wow, the canal showed up looking like a Bob Ross painting minus the color—peaceful, stark, and deeply grounding.
The trees were leafless but not lifeless. Reflections danced on the water like a quiet reminder that stillness is progress too. It wasn’t about breaking records today. It was about not breaking the streak.
And let’s be honest, even a grey walk > no walk. Every step still counts. Especially the ones that happen after the chaos.
